Our Proposals
Miller Homes seeks to create a sustainable development that helps to address Bromsgrove District’s housing needs while seamlessly integrating with the existing community in Cofton Hackett.
Our proposals include:
- Up to 115 high-quality, low carbon homes.
- Provision of 50% affordable homes and 50% open market housing, helping local people to access quality housing and get on the housing ladder.
- A range of house types and tenures, including a mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bed properties to suit a wide range of potential owners, such as first-time buyers, downsizers and growing families.
- Opportunities to provide new public open spaces at the site, including children's play areas and green spaces.
- A Biodiversity Net Gain of at least 10% delivered through habitat enhancements and ecosystem restoration.
Affordable Housing for Local People
50% of new homes at Land West of Skylark Street will be delivered as affordable homes. This will include a mix of affordable tenures to address the housing needs of the local area, in agreement with Bromsgrove District Council.
Miller Homes has used a ‘Discounted Market Value’ scheme in recent projects including nearby Springbrook Gardens in Blakedown to help local people access high quality homes that would ordinarily be outside of their budget.
Buyers with a local connection who meet the eligibility criteria can purchase selected brand-new Miller Homes with a discount. The home will remain discounted through its lifetime – which means that when the house is sold, the same discount is passed on to the purchaser.
